ALOHA from my little dwelling in Pukalani! This is Cassandra here recapping my second week working from home. Let me tell you it sure has been a new experience for me. I am a creature of habit and loving have an established routine in place. So, for the past two weeks I’ve been creating a routine and today I’d like to share my morning routine with you. By the way, this is my work space. It has all of my essentials, and perfect backlighting thanks to the morning sun. But my floor lamp is on standby as the afternoon rolls in.

So, my typical morning routine involves heading to the gym for a workout before going into the office. However, now that all the gyms on the island have been closed, my living room has become my new workout space. As you can see from the image above I am lacking the proper equipment. I am managing and know it’s working because there are certain muscles that haven’t hurt like this before. Clearly I am doing something right, so maybe I don’t need a gym membership after all…

My mother made the most incredible home cooked meals, and now I try to do the same for my family. I am always searching for new recipes and am eager to try new things! Being bound to my home has given me the opportunity to make the most of what I have in my kitchen. For example, I’ve been using my slow cooker more than ever! It has been a wonderful tool for my morning weekday meal prep. Tomorrow, I plan on making Chicken Tortilla Soup. It will take 8 hours, so I know when I’ll be done with work. Cheers to making the most out of our homebound lives!
