Our View

Interior Design is a mix of design, budgeting, planning, presentations, fiscal and administrative tasks that requires total project management. To get there, we use a variety of tools to build and communicate all aspects of the design digitally with clients, contractors and vendors. Stellar relationships with vendors and trade professionals are an integral part of achieving a successful project. Design evolves as a result of client input that we blend with ideas, resources and product knowledge.

Who We Are

Image

Kristin Holmes | ASID | Interior Designer | Partner

Kristin has been at the helm of Swan Interiors since its inception. She started her career on Oahu in 1980 moving to Maui in 1984. Now, nearly forty years later the business has shifted from a single owner to a staff converted partnership.

Professionalism is at the core of this business and is reflected in all projects over the years. Good design is the foundation of all client work. And pride appears in the work our company produces. All of this has been accomplished with years of great clients and projects. These core values continue through the work of the new partnership.

Styles and colors have changed over the years and yet, the design work continues driven by individual client preferences that are as unique as the locations and project parameters. Being a good designer requires close attention to details, observation of surroundings and desire to create beautiful spaces where clients can live and thrive.

All of this translates into what drives Kristin, still proud to claim interior design as her profession.

Cassandra Okimoto | Allied ASID | Interior Designer | Partner

Cassandra Okimoto, Allied ASID Member, graduated at the top of her class from Chaminade University of Honolulu with her BFA in Environmental + Interior Design. Cassandra became immersed in the diverse computer software available to communicate designs efficiently for clients. With developed skills in these programs (AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, Etc.) she gives our clients the opportunity to visualize their spaces with 3D renderings and visually enhanced presentations. Being technologically driven aids in her ability to manage renovations and new construction builds with architects and contractor teams on various projects at a time. Cassandra finds that the one of the most rewarding parts of her job as an interior designer is problem solving to find effective solutions that result in the successful completion of a project.

By spending her life in Hawaii, it's become important for her to connect with her community and fellow design professionals. She joined the ASID Hawaii Chapter Board as their Communications Director for four years, encouraging her to further her education and enthusiasm to unite with the design community. From the earliest years of her life, she has been influenced by the design industry. As early as six years old, she “worked” with her father learning the skills of tile setting. In her teen years, she was introduced to multi-million dollar homes designed and built by her stepfather. These experiences sparked her interest in design and the potential of being able to create functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces for high-end clientele.

While streamlining the design process for her clients is a highlight, Cassandra also thrives in the selection process of finish materials and furnishings. The balance of scale, texture and color in a design that creates a cohesive look specific to each individual client is truly gratifying. She appreciates design as a whole and all the elements, principles and techniques it takes to achieve each unique design. Everyday is a new experience, another lesson to be learned and a chance to be thankful for a profession that gives her the opportunity to be creative and challenged in the best possible ways.

Amanda Pacetta | Interior Designer | Partner

Amanda is passionate about guiding clients in creating homes that truly reflect their personalities. She approaches every project with authenticity, finding joy and beauty in crafting spaces that feel cohesive and meaningful from the inside out.

From finishes and space planning to furnishing selections, Amanda sees each design decision as an opportunity to build harmony and connection. As a designer, she visualizes in three dimensions and translates that vision through drafting and technical documentation—seamlessly integrating creativity with practical execution. Her work blends strong visualization skills, an analytical mindset, and natural interpersonal abilities—key traits that allow her to bring both artistry and clarity to her projects.

In addition to managing interior design projects, Amanda oversees marketing initiatives and develops conceptual designs for our new inventory introductions.

Originally from Brazil, Amanda’s design aesthetic is contemporary casual, blending texture, culture, and balance. She draws inspiration from biophilic design principles, creating environments that foster a natural connection between people and nature. For Amanda, design is more than creating beautiful spaces—it’s about enhancing her client's quality of life.

Her career began in 2006 in Brazil after earning her degree in Interior Design, and she has since built 17 years of diverse experience in the industry.

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys time with her two children. She shares the art of block printing with her daughter and cheers on her son’s basketball games every weekend. Photography, running, time in nature and music are her favorite ways to recharge and stay inspired.
